Fermionic characters for graded parafermions

Fermionic-type character formulae are presented for charged irreducible modules of the graded parafermionic conformal field theory associated to the coset ôsp(1, 2)k/û(1). This is obtained by counting the weakly ordered ‘partitions’ subject to the graded Z̃k exclusion principle. The bosonic form of the characters is also presented.

Quantum Cluster Characters of Hall Algebras

The aim of the present paper is to introduce a generalized quantum cluster character, which assigns to each object V of a finitary Abelian category C over a finite field Fq and any sequence i of simple objects in C the element XV,i of the corresponding algebra PC,i of q-polynomials. We prove that if C was hereditary, then the assignments V 7→ XV,i define algebra homomorphisms from the (dual) Ha...

Graded quantum cluster algebras and an application to quantum Grassmannians

We introduce a framework for Z-gradings on cluster algebras (and their quantum analogues) that are compatible with mutation. To do this, one chooses the degrees of the (quantum) cluster variables in an initial seed subject to a compatibility with the initial exchange matrix, and then one extends this to all cluster variables by mutation. The resulting grading has the property that every (quantu...

Computer Algebra Algorithms for Linear Ordinary Differential and Difference equations

Galois theory has now produced algorithms for solving linear ordinary differential and difference equations in closed form. In addition, recent algorithmic advances have made those algorithms effective and implementable in computer algebra systems. After introducing the relevant parts of the theory, we describe the latest algorithms for solving such equations.

Nonstandard finite difference schemes for differential equations

In this paper, the reorganization of the denominator of the discrete derivative and nonlocal approximation of nonlinear terms are used in the design of nonstandard finite difference schemes (NSFDs). Numerical examples confirming then efficiency of schemes, for some differential equations are provided. In order to illustrate the accuracy of the new NSFDs, the numerical results are compared with ...
